YNST is an alt-azimuth vacuum solar telescope, and is mainly used in fine spectrum analysis and spatial-temporal fine structure of solar activity region magnetic field. In order to help its terminal equipment, the vertical multi-wave band spectrometer, to obtain clear spectral lines, we need to control the spectrometer. This is why we develop the position control system for spectrometer of YNST (Hereinafter the system is referred to PCSS). PCSS includes the following five control components: the focus control of CCD and Ha lens for spectral lines; the grating rotation control; the multi-slit switch control; the 45-degree plane mirror rotation control; the 45-degree plane mirror lateral movement control. The article has six parts. In the first chapter, the development of mechanical electrical control technology is described, and the principle of motor control and the selecting of motor are recounted. In the second chapter, the overall design of PCSS is introduced, including mechanical design、technical requirements、the whole structure and communication protocol of PCSS. In the third chapter, the hardware design of PCSS is introduced. The technical parameters and interface definition of motion stages which are controlled by single and multi axis motion controller are introduced. In the fourth chapter, the software design of PCSS is introduced in detail, including network communication software and serial communication software of between astronomical engineering control computer and industrial control computer、as well as the software of multi axis motion controller. In the fifth chapter, the instrument test has been preliminarily carried on. The test results and analysis have been presented. In the sixth chapter, we make a summary of the design progress, and outline our future work briefly.
