In this thesis, the diffuse reflective laser ranging experiment is processed at the 1.2m telescope. First of all, analysis of the diffuse reflective characteristics of the non-cooperation target is conducted. And diffuse reflective laser ranging equation of general form is deduced analytically. The transmission of laser beam depends on features of atmosphere, such as atmosphere turbulence, scattering and absorbing and so does the number of echoes and the degree of precision. A series of experiments and theoretical analysis are done in order to calculate the echo distribution of diffuse reflective laser ranging from non-cooperation object whose height varies from 400km to 800km and effective area is 2 m2. This thesis, analytically, acquires the horizontal distance between an object in low orbit of 400km and the ground target used in diffuse reflective laser ranging, when it can represent the effect of going through 400km in atmosphere in Oblique way through the analysis of the influence of atmosphere turbulence and atmospheric attenuation, so as to give reference to determine the distance of ground target in diffuse reflective laser ranging research.
