First of all, this article briefly describes some of the basic concepts of polarization, main polarimetric results of the solar systerm planets and the present status of extrasolar planets' polarimetric studying. Finally focused on the properties of the polarimetric vary with phase angle of the unresolved mercury-like and Venus-like extrasolar planets. Through the comparison of the two planets at the resolved and unresolved conditions we find that under the unresolved condition not only the polarization magnitude significantly is reduced but its variation pattern with phase angle is also varied significantly compared with the resolved condition. And by the comparison of the Mercury-like with Venus-like extrasolar planets we find that the polarization magnitude of the Mercury-like is one order smaller than the Venus-like,their polarization variation pattern behave significantly too. Though the polarization magnitudes affected by the planet's radius and orbital radius but these two factors cannot change the properties of the phase curves.
