Long-term period changes and photometric orbital solution of RZ Draconis

摘要Based on observed minimim epochs over 70-odd years of the eclipsing binary RZ Dra, including 4 observed by us, we found its period of 0 d 5508 to show a slow secular decrease at the relative rate of ΔPP~-1.53 × 10 -10. The reason may either be the presence of a third body of that mass is being continually transferred from the more massive to the less massive component. Our observations in yellow in 1978 May - August re-confirms its total (annular) eclipse status and gives a new photometric orbit with a ratio of radii of k ~ 0.69, and a nearly central eclipse.
